Have a 95 Xplorer with over 6,000 miles on it. I have replaced the Piston. - (to wiseco) just because I got the ATV in too deep of water.
I replaced the reeds-just for throttle response Other than that It is stock, I really take care of the o-ring chains-and they are still the stockers, as so are the sprocket's.
I did have to replace the rear bearings in the axle cage, as I was running the chain to tight in the rear.
I tried one time to remove the rear plug on the muffler to clean out the carbon, but there was so much crud on the threads I stripped out the bolt backing it out. So I re-tapped it put in another, and will never try that again. that was 2,000 miles ago-I don't notice any difference.
I like the quad in the snow, and mud-cause the heaver 500-600-700's get stuck easier and my wheel speed and weight make it float over instead of dig in. Getting unstuck is a breeze as the rear end is way more lighter to pick up and throw around......
I have the fuel Gauge- (Kinda like a Snowmobile) it's ok but makes a-lot of noise when your stopped from the gas sloshing around...
I 'll leave her stock---gas and Go ---
