I have a 2001 Scrambler 400, with the below listed mods. I have had no problem with my stock piston, but am thinking of putting a wiseco in it, with 12:1 HPD head, and Swaintech coating on the piston. Should I do this? I may get a trail port job done some time, but I'm not sure. should I go ahead and get the piston, or wait till I port it?

While on the subject, what is porting? do they enlargen the cylinder to accept a larger piston and sleeve? Not real up-to-date on the technical engine stuff. Thanks.

P.S: I'll be looking for a DG bumper pretty soon, and I'm looking to sell or trade my stock scrambler 400 pipe.
