No, the outdoor channel and OLN are not the same thing.
I just barely started getting the outdoor channel and I have tuned into ATV-TV twice and I was pretty dissapointed with that show. With just a few simple things they could make it so much better (the first being getting rid of the worthless host ). But seriously, all that guy does is talk...it goes on and on and on....
For instance, last week they had a show with the intro of Polaris's 2002 Models. He stood there and talked to one of the Polaris marketing guys about the "new features" for half of the show. Yes, I'm interested in knowing what is new on it, but it was a long drawn out conversation which pretty much told me nothing of any value. He basically just sat there and "kissed-up" to the Polaris guy.
They could learn a lot from shows like Car and Driver TV or Motortrend. Yes, they too have a lot of talking in their shows, BUT it is all narative talking where you see the cars driving on the screen while the guy talks about them. It's much better than listening to some boring conversation with no special info in it.
However, I saw another show for the first time on the Outdoor Channel. I can't remember the name, but it had that same host in it. Only this time they showed quite a bit more action shots. Even though they were just on 4x4's I thought that it was a little bit better.
Oh well....at least we've got something.

If someone could help me out, I will pay you to tape this show since I only get OLN. It's important to me to see how they tested these tires. I have all the Maxxis Mud Bug and Mudzilla's from this test (they are for sale if anyone wants them). Some of the tires were never used such as the 12" wide Mudzilla's and I believe this is why they didn't get a good report but I will have to see the show to find out if the other tires they tested were the 12" wide ones.
