You break-in your ATV the same way that you are going to ride it the rest of your life. A buddie of mine got a AC500(Shift)the same time that I did. He babied his and I beat the **** out of mine. Right now mine is faster his,,,,,,,, Im also 50lbs bigger then him.

regarding speed tests and break-in periods, that reminded me of something I heard at the dealership...They insisted that the 700, once broken and and with at least 100 miles on it, will really start to make a lot more power. I've never heard this, and I can't imagine why it would be so, but that's what they said. Everyone seemed to agree it was true. They described the new 700 as "doggy" compared to once it's broken in.
