Here in buff, ny, "I" can get a 2002 Sp HO Yellow for $5700 with winch tax fright, everything. Good deal uh? My dad works for police dept and he gets a discount because the police dept. goes their for all there sleds and junk. So i can get one dirt cheap. Got my 2001 mag 325 4x4 for $4700 out the door. I'm the king of deals!

I do not remember the website but you can call them at 888-284-4588. For $9.95 you can get invoice pricing for any make or model of ATV. Or, go to Yahoo and enter "atv" under search. About 359 matches will come up. The invoice web site is on one of the last three pages. Just plug in your credit card number and in a minute you can get the invoice, dealer set-up, and delivery charges. You are getting screwed from the dealer who is charging $6,700 or so for a Polaris 500. And don't let them tell you that its below cost for the other prices others' are getting. For example, I will save a lot of you the $9.95 and tell you what it costs them and you for a Polaris Sportsman 700. List price is $7,399. Many of you paid that if not more because of your impatience. I am not blaming you as I am guilty of that too when I really want somthing. ALL dealers pay the same for shipping from Polaris. The dealers price ready to sell after acquisition, delivery, and setup is $6,479.00 Anything that they make above and beyond that is profit usually split 70/30 or 60/40 or so with the salesman. Polaris also gives the dealers a 5% holdback on MSRP of $7,399. This means that the dealer is rebated back $369.95. The dealer would make this at a minimum if they sold you the SP700 at invoice. But the sales rep would get nothing. I told a Polaris dealer today that I am interested in two ATV's, one being the SP700. I offered him $6,600 cash if I like the 700 after the next day's test ride. I also laid a $200 deposit down to show my sign of committment to buy. But the money is refundable if I do not like the 700. He agreed. For those of you out there, just make sure you put yourself in a position of power to get the price you want. Have money to put down or financing in place. Show a committment to buy and the prices will come down. I also bypass sales and go to the manager when I know a product is what I want. I offer cash right now and usually they just take it. This usually works except in the case where demand exceeds supply. If you got the patience, wait things out, the spring on them. Good luck!!

Again, from my dealer invoice report, the dealer pays $69 for the winch and Polaris credits the dealer the $246. The crap you hear about price too low to offer a winch is BS.

PS. Still waiting advice out there from you knowledgeable owner as to whether I should by a Kaw 650 at $6,100 or a SP700 at $6,600? The prices are good for me but which of these units do you forsee for long-term reliability. I am not an aggressive rider, I take care of my things. I just want to do some casual riding, some bowhunting, one elk trip to the Rockies each year, and some snow riding in the winter.
