I have a 95' Sportsman and for whatever reason, when i put it in reverse the engine dies unless i use the override button, which Ive learned to live with. Herelately it has gotten worse: Now sometimes when you put it in reverse and hit the override button it spits and chokes bad thru the exhaust and want come close to backing up. Now I can't live with it being this bad. Is this something I can fix or do i need to take back to the dealer$$$$$. I know somebody out there can help. Thanks in advance. Yarddog

You might try bypassing the switch and see if that clears up the problem, if so then replace the switch or live without it. I'm getting ready to bypass it on both mine.
