Clutch help on '99 Trailboss.

I just replaced the belt on the wifes '99 TBoss it is way too tight. What kind of adjustment do I have? I know I cab shim the driven in and out but it doesn't sem to change it. It seems that the drive and driven are a bit too far apart, anyway to change this?
