Carb problem finally fixed
#1
I just got my machine back from the shop for the second time. The first they just adjusted the carb, and I got home and it didnt run any better. So I got it back again today and they said the problem was fixed.
They said the diaphram spring inside of the diaphram had fallen out of its vertical position, and was just laying sideways doing nothing. Therefore causing the carb to get way too much gas and run rich at times and other times run fine. Also mentioning that they had never seen that before.
The quad would sputter, die out at times, and even backfire on occasion. Along with the lack of power you would expect. This may help some of you if your machine ever decides to act this way and nothing logical seems to be the trouble.
