I have a SP500 that has one side's output shaft Sheered off. Anyone ever tear down the front diff? Is that shaft a solid one that drives both sides that can be replaced?

when you say sheared do you mean that the male splines are wore down and the yoke (female splines) that swallows the shaft is is looose and you dont have 4wd on that side. if that is the case you can put a bolt 5/16 and nut thru the yoke and shaft and it will keep pulling.

The shaft is sheered off. In fact it broke across the point where the bolt hole is. Massive wreck.

its is a solid shaft that has a gear in the on it if i remember they are about 200 dollars that is not counting the seals or the yoke if it is wrecked they are about 60 dollars. if the u joint is also messed up you can get them at auto parts store about 15 dollars vs 30 dollars at polaris
