#1
just ordered a hot seats clutch upgrade they say it is better through out the entire powerband uses stock springs but new weights and stuff. Has anyone else tried this yet? They say it will arrive here monday and my dealer will have it done by tuesday night. Please if some one has tried the hot seat clutch upgrade let me know a.s.a.p. thanks your atv partner.

I have Hot Seat's Hypershift clutch kit in my 93 350L. It was very easy to install. You will notice the clutch engaging at a higher Rpm than stock. This lets you be higher in the powerband when the clutch engages. It will basically act like popping the clutch in a truck at 3000 prm intead of idle. Polaris first tried to use the sp500 clutching on the 700. I understand it was a wild ride. Easily popped wheelies. Ease into the throttle and just as the clutch engages, go wide open. Hang on tight. Be carefull the first couple of times. I pulled out of my driveway and floored it as I was turning. The front end lifted and sent me across the road into the ditch.

thanks for the info I wonder what this is going to do I don't know the name of this clutch but that it uses my stock springs but new weights. The rpm engagment is supposed to be only 200rpm higher than stock I asked the because I don't want to race i need a harder bite because the machine is 740lbs dry and I am 294lbs. that makes it slip a little. I am also intrested to see what the new top speed is as long as I can hit 60mph I am fine with that. thanks for the info and I will post the results when I return from the trip.

If you can afford a Team Reaction Rollar from Team Performance,($325) by all means buy it! There is no other clutch kit that will perform as well! Although i haven't run across aaens rollar yet, I have run down every other kit, including my own clutching system for the 700. The yamaha grizz is a bit faster than the 700 out of the box, but with the rollar, say good bye to the grizz!!
One other kit that is fast and not to spendy is using the EPI helix from the 500 ho engine brakeing kit. (The EPI 700 kit is junk!!It uses the same helix thats in the 700 allready) I can't remember off hand which spring weight combination I used with the 500 ho helix, but when I find my notes i'll post it. I tryed so many differant set ups i can't remember what was what!! This set up flys also, but of coarse the back shift isn't as good as the rollar! Ride On
