Good luck with the new machine. I would buy the Polaris Gold synthetic oil. I use this in my 400 sport and never had a problem yet. It is a little pricey, but your machine is worth it. I also use a polaris chain wax. I get in the water a lot and this stuff works great. After a year of good riding, my chain is like brand new. Just don't be afraid to use the stuff. Everytime you get wet use it.

Snow-Tech also recomends Phillips 66 INJEX oil for snowmobiles.

I just bought some Bel-Ray chain wax today going to try it out. I have used Maxima Chain wax before and it did not protect the chain enough in deep mud conditions ( I am talking about riding a whole weekend in the swamp not a trail crossing). But then again that is severe service.

BILL, check out part number #2872655 front end spacers for your new quad . They use the standard springs. This part is made for plow and winch add on's to keep the front end from sagging.

Yes that is the part # for the rubber spacer.

I just got done working on my Xplorer myself. I dropped the main jet one size to a 200 and it really perked the machine up. I am getting ready for this weekends quad battles in Wisconsin. I was getting the evil eye from all of the tree huggers in my neighborhood. But hey F them.

Bill I downloaded the entire 400 Xplorer parts list from the Polaris site if you would like a copy let me know. We two cycle guys need to stick together.

Maybe I'll see in da UP some time you Troll breath Flatlander.

Odin, you and I will be conversing alot.I will break the Xplorer in correctly.I may want more ''JUICE'' out of this quad,so I'll be checking to see what works for you. [Guinei Pig]Im so glad you owned yours first.About the ride in the UP?It probably will happen.Myself, brother John, and 4 others are planning a trip to the UP in mid August.Im wondering how far Flood Runner is from the UP of Michigan to?It'd be sorta good to ride with him as well.===BILL

Bill, Afriend of mine has a 400 also. He added a pipe,K&N filter,a roller clutch and differant clutch weights and that thing is like a rocket. He has had it for over a year and it's never been back for mechanical repairs, just crash repair. Becareful they will fly.
