i was just wondering how many SP700 owners have actually BURRIED their ATVs yet in the mud and needed a tow?
i think the tires/power/and ground clearance make it pretty much un-stopable!?
any adverse experiences in the mud yet guys?

MTpockets,
I'm here to tell you, I for one have gotten my 700 stuck many many times. I buried it up to the rack extenders on the very first ride, and was lucky my wifes Scrambler was able to yank me out. I then got a 2000lb winch which I use nearly every time I go out. I got winched out once by an Arctic-Cat 500i, and we had to rig a double line with a ****** block, and chain the 'Cat to a tree. I couldn't use my front mounted winch because it would have meant pulling myself 50 yards through 3 feet of frog poop, rather than about 12 feet back. That would have been a good time to have a multi-mount winch. I bought a big utility-type 4x4 because I am physically unable to resist going right for the middle of any mudhole I find. So, to answer your question, they are not unstoppable, but I have gone right through places that several other machines had to get winched out of. Makes you feel pretty cool when you show up the other brands. I would not go anywhere with a machine this big and heavy without a winch. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it. Usually it takes more than a tug with a rope to get 800 lbs out of the suction of mud. And it isn't like the old days when you could pick up the back end of a dirtbike or a 3 wheeler and shove it around. They didn't weigh anything.

My brother in law and I both burried ours. However it was in some major swamp with floating bogs. They do go through a ton, but when you are in mud up over the muffler, you are stuck. Especially when you have to climb back up on the bog to get out.
