just thinking....after responding earlier...maybe you should contact heelclicker and see if they have changed their design since your purchase. i'm sure they may consider a swap if the earlier design was getting bad reviews and you haven't installed it...don't know just a thought.

Thanks Randrball,
I was planning on contacting them today
just for that purpose.
I'll let you know what they say.

I talked to Dave(Randy has jury duty)
Turns out I'm missing a couple springs
one drive(black I think) and a driven(gray).
Also they have instructions now,
all they sent me was snowmobile instructions.
He's shipping it tomorrow

Well you guys aint going to like this but here's my side of the HC.At the request of my Polaris mechanic Steve,I bought [189.00]this Heel Clicker kit and had him install it[another 2hrs labor].I allready had the Hot Seat clutch kit in this quad and the Heel clickers did not give me the performance Steve said it would,in fact,I lost my bottom end take off so bad with this new kit that I had to go to a primary spring that engaged at 2300 rpms before I could even get the quad to have any low end like I had with the Hot Seat kit.

What a WASTE of 300 bucks in my opinion.Maybe the new kits have changed?Sounds like you guys really like them.

Not to bash, but didn't they used to have some cover clearing problems also. Neat concept, if the get, or have gotten the bugs out.

Muddy,
I think that for whatever reason the kit does not work on our two strokes like the four strokes. I almost bought this kit for my Xplorer until I saw your post and asked some more questions. If you go to their web site it says it is for all polaris atv's but if you look further the only bikes you see listed are four strokes. Thats all I saw unless I missed something. Like I said I had the kit ordered and I saw your post and called Randy back and discussed some of your problems with him and then he was saying it was designed on the sp500 but should work on the Xplorer and he just did not sound sure enough about his product so I canceled the order.

And this is more of a question on the clearance problem but isn't clutch cover bigger on the 01 and newer models? It sounds like the guys who have put this kit on their four strokes are quite pleased and if and when I get a four stroke I will probably get this kit. I would just be real careful on the clearance, it would suck to have a hole through the cover.
