My point exactly... in my properly maintained ,sealed , drum my brakes are, or should be clean.Clean,DRY drum brakes do work quite well on Hondas. Much QUIETER than ANY Polaris on dusty trails.Cheaper to make (Hondas no dummy) and easier on customers pocket book.
IF disc are superior, why is it an area of Polaris owner Dissatisfaction in many owner surveys?

Watch out for those cliffs

Lurch, I have owned Polaris sleds, but I doubt that counts. I have several friends that own Polaris Quads though, and I have ridden them. My opinions are based on their experiance with Polaris brakes. Also I've been riding atv's since 84', all Hondas. Admittedly I am not a big time monster mudder, but I've been in my share of mud holes. Hey Lurch, have you ever been to lake Winnipesaukee, I went ice fishing there a few weeks ago, one of those 60 degree days. Anyway, by the end of the day there was a good foot of water and slush on the lake, it was over the Ranchers running boards. I thought for sure my brakes would be full of water. Guess what, not one drop came out of the drain holes at the end of the day. Now thats sealed!

heheh, didn't mean to scare him. Just wanted the instructions on how to add 7 inches of ground clearance to a quad. I was going to do it to my SP500! Probably a little tippy with almost 20 inches of Ground Clearance though! lol
