Well, sound like what you want to do is going to be impossible. There are 2 ways to help acceleration. One is to increase engagement which is preferable since the 250 is a piston port motor and lacks some bottom end. The second way is to increase the spring rate which makes it turn more top rpms. This will not benefit you at all with the stock components. The stock pipe is tuned to turn a certain rpm, so changing that will actually hurt performance. You need to get a spring that has the same rate as the factory one but with a little higher engagement. You will be able to take off much better. That is not what you want but really all you can do with what you have. Hope this helps,Bubba

your only gonna hurt performance by just doing one thing at a time..and spend twice the money in the long run..
just save up and buy a speed kit, wich should include a new filter,a pipe, jets and springs, weights, and a helix matched to the performance of the pipe.
and you should see reallt good gains then.
