Polaris Explorer 500 1997, gas problems, help please
#1
Hi, I think that I picked up some gas at some time that had water in it
and I didn't use the bike for two weeks after that. When I
went to use it it ran well for about a mile then just stopped. I could not get it started anymore so I purchased
water remover and injection clear for the gas. A couple of days later I got it started but since then when I throttle too much the engine just wants to die.
WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?

Remove carb and inspect the needle and seat I have seen many worn out and will restrict the flow if they arn't centered properly. Check fuel filter and air filter. Also if you suspect any water you could add a small amt of polaris isopropal into the fuel tank, works great in the sleds. Good luck.
