My buddy is looking at getting a 03 Sportsman 400. I know nothing about Polaris. Is this a quality quad? Reliability is one of my main questions. Any help would be nice.

It's a polaris so yes reliability is an issue but features and performance for the prce will be good.

Polaris makes a good machine and has a good ride. They require lots of maitenance if you run them every week and do lots of riding. Can't speak for other brands but I have a polaris and am happy with it.
