Hi

My wife’s 400 sport clutch pulley on the motor is hitting the plastic cover . the washer on the bolt is flat I installed .25 spacers to push the plate away from the bolt just before the belt engages and it works but this is not right what is moving ? any help would be thankful

Either your clutch cover was overheated and deformed or your motor mounts are bad.

You can also warp the clutch cover by setting something on it, or stepping on it. Have seen that numerous times where someone with kid's lets the kids use the cover as a footrest. If they stand on it, and are heavy enough, it can warp permanantly.
