What the heck happened...oops.

Well folks all I can say is Rick Ritter is not only a nice guy, he actually knows what he's doing.
The problem below was caused by me...yes me. When I put the e-clip on the needle back to the middle setting for the new 270 main jet, I put the plate in and put the needle above the plate. This caused the hesitation at about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. After about 5 phone calls and numerous unnecessary adjustments, Rick caught the problem. He was a little confused, because he could hear the bog, and was troubleshooting for a rich mixture, which was caused by the bouncing needle. He did not get upset when he found out I caused the problem, he was just happy it worked.
Throughout the whole upgrade process, Rick answered all my questions and never once failed to get back to me within a few minutes. He has earned my respect for his knowledge, and any future business for his professionalism and courtesy.
You will never go wrong buying from him...I promise.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, the Scrambler really rips with this kit, highly recommended.
I will leave the post below for future reference for other boneheads like myself.
I just got in from running my 400sc with the newly installed RCR mid range kit and reed cage. I don't know if I received the wrong pipe, or if the reed cage is doing it, but the thing is a total dog on the bottom end. I give it gas, and the engine kind of bogs, then slowly gains rpm. I can hardly spin the tires. When it gets going, it feels much snappier at mid to higher rpms.
I installed everything exactly as Rick instructed, and I set the adjustment of the reeds at about halfway. Is this the problem?

The Moto Tassarini reeds have a tension adjustment which is supposed to allow you to adjust the throttle response. I talked to Rick at RCR and he said set it in the middle. All it is is a wedge at the top of the reed which has slots in it for a screw. If you slide the wedge all the way down, it keeps more pressure on the reeds. Moving the wedge up, less pressure. How this affects anything, I don't really know, that is why I set them in the middle. All I know is something needs some adjusting. I will call Rick tomorrow for advice, and check the board.
Thanks

I will try to find your order records and contact you . If I cannot , please call me . Did you change anything in the clutch ? Don't worry , it will be made right . Or , you may drive over the pipe with your truck and send it back for a full refund. :-)

MDELBY,Have you checked your clutch buttons lately? If it revs fine
when in neutral but when in gear
you have no low end power it could
just be the buttons. This happened to me a few weeks ago but may not be your problem. Good luck

Delby...
Did you happen to take the secondary clutch apart for any reason during the "hop up process"? Im just wondering.. If you did make some driven clutch changes, did you pre-load the secondary spring by turning the rear half about 180 degrees before sliding it down onto the splines?...
I don't do a LOT of 2-stroke work.. but I do know if you shear the clutch buttons or don't re-assemble it with the pre-load.. it won't hardly pull itself off of a wet fart... (sorry about that.. but I had Mexican Food today.. so that was fresh on my mind..hahahahaha)
