Used Mods, and SP700 Belt?

Used Mods, and SP700 Belt?
Where do people market their after market parts besides E-Bay? The only place I can look is on E-Bay, which seldomly has Polaris after market parts.
Also, I heard that you can put a sp700 belt on a 500HO for an easy, and cheap mod. Does this also work on the Scrambler 500HO, and what exactly does it do?
Thanks,
Colin

hook up better,I have one on mine but I think I'm taken it off.
I believe(IMHO)that it will wear your clutches faster.
Some people love them ,some dont?

The only real advantages to the SP700 belt are, it has better ability to cool and supposingly stronger because they are seemless. I personally have rarely seen a belt split or break on a seem. If it was, the belt should have been replaced long before that anyhow.
I helped a friend put one in his SC500. It has the HPD pipe and clutch kit along with aluminum wheels and holeshot tires. His was overheating the clutches and wearing out a belt in one or two rides. Tried the HPD belt before this and it was the same. We put the SP700 belt on and I re-tuned his HPD clutch kit and he is really happy now. His clutching feels alot better and it still hasn't begun to fade.
I don't see where it would wear your clutches any more than a regular belt. If it did, it would most likely show up on the top due to the extra kogs on its back. Only time will tell.
I still have the HPD belt in mine. Been in there for about 6 months straight, unseen. I'll bet its got some good grooves started. I'll probably try the SP700 belt on mine, along with some other minor clutch tuning.
