Default fried a belt! Which should I get now

Thanks Bubba i was just going to post the number. As for the belt being to hard on the clutches, I really couldnt tell you. If you only ride at only one speed all the time then i guess you will see wear but i ride at all different speeds so mine wears evenly. I have heard both good and bad on the kevlar belt. All i know is the stocker

You can get the dayco belt through Dennis Kirk. They are real reasonable on the price. I think in the $30-something range. Go to www.denniskirk.com Bubba

Can you (shuld you) use the 700 belt or the Napa belt on Non-EBS models like a '99 Xplorer 400? Are the benefits of this belt noteable on such a unit? Thanks -Dave

You only have 2 different design belts. One for the EBS and one for the non-EBS. The Dayco and Gates belts are re-inforced with aramid and kevlar. Makes them last a long time but over a period of time will wear a groove in the primary. The 700 belt will fit the non-EBS and some say it works good. It wont last on a race modded model. It is grooved on top and bottom and might help with cooling. Bubba
