Default Power difference on 600SP or 700SP ??

Just wanted to know if there is much difference in engine performance between the 600 and 700. I figured now that people have been out on the 600's that someone would be able to tell the difference between the two. Just seeing if the difference in price is worth the performance difference in machines. Basically low end, don't care about top end, got 27"XT's in the shed so speed will be reduced anyways. Thanx for your replies.

If you can get a 700 for $200 or less over the 600, I would get the 700. This 700 is a torque monster. Sometimes going up hill, a little to much torque. The 600 is a little less in the torque, but still has great performance. But I don't think in my opinion that the 700 has $500 worth of performance over the 600. If the price between the two is $500, I would get the 600. The only reason I got the 700 over the 600, is because I got a great deal on it, other then that, I would have a 600 and use the $500 on accesories for it.

I am trading in my machine which means up here I will have to pay full MSRP for the new machine. So yes the difference for me is $500.00. So I was thinking I could use the $500 towards a cluth kit. I am still waiting to see if anyone knows if the 40mm carb off a 500HO will fit in place of the 34mm carb that is on the 600sp now. Between the two, that should definatly make the 600sp a beast.

SpruceDuece,
No I have not gone from Tupper to Harrisville so I am not to sure if you can or not. We usually truck our machines up to the Malone area to ride. Can't do to much here in the Adirondack Park.

as in normal factory performance wise tune, bigger is stronger so the 700
produce more torque as well, but the 600 is snapper, higher revving,so it let me think the 600 is more "all around/sporty" in it class comparing to the big brother, but hey this an all new market so you can't go wrong with those 2,i think the 700 is wilder while the 600 seem more "domestic"...

Mud puppy You would do alot better if you didnt trade it in. Its not worth giving up a grand or so to trade. They low ball you on the trade and high ball you on the new bike. If you sell it yourself you can save at least 1000 dollars. And I dont know about you but for me thats a pretty good paycheck just for being patient for a week or two. They will come down at least 800 bucks on the sporstman 700. Hell you can even run your bike in the paper at the price they were gonna give you for it. If you want to move it quick. The customer always loses on the trade in deal. THATS A FACT. This applies to autos too. Always sell outright. And get preapproved for the loan amount at your bank before you go shopping.
