I need some advice. I have a 2000 Scrambler 500 4x4. The front right tire is engaging when the AWD switch is OFF. The left doesn't do it, just the right. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check for?
This is how I got it back from my Handy Polaris Dealer!!!!
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

 

my 5oo ho did the same thing it turned out to be corrosion in the awd switch on the handlebars took it apart cleaned it put some diaelectric grease in it put it backtogther and low and behold problem solved

 

Change Your Hub Fluid!!!!!!

Make sure not over or under fill. Take the allen nut out on each hub rotate till the hole is on the bottom
make sure all the old fluid comes out rotate the wheel is at 3oclock fill till the starts to come out.
This is usally the problem from what you described

I second what Alpine said. Drain fluid, replace with Mobil1 ATF fluid. It doesn't hurt to change it on a yearly basis.

 

mind was doing the same thing i took the hubs off and cleaned everything out then put them back on and refilled the hubs and ran it for a few days and changed again. it seems to have stoped now
