The weights are a 58grm, gold secondary and red/yellow primary. Im not sure what the shift rates are. It enguages at 1400 rpm,s. I have it set on 1-2 setting for a quick upshift but the backshift is not as quick. I wanted the quick upshift. I think bubba, or modquad could tell you the shift rating of the kit. What parts did you get?

I just rebuilt the clutch in my Scrambler and got a white primary spring. I have the stock spring back in it now, but what can I expect from the white spring? The tension difference putting the clutch together is unbelievable. I can fully compress the stock spring, but can't even move the clutch with the white spring with all my weight on it.

Well I have 56 gram wieghts HPDplain6 primary engage 50 full shifout 215 violet secondary. But I have a 4 stroke . This is my problem though I find it pulls hard from the start when hill climbing but the minute I let off and back on the throttle it seems to bog do you think my engine is having a hard time with the 56 gram wieghts pulling throughout the range or to me sounds like a backshift problem do you agree ?
should I set my secondary stronger.
I have another ? for ya too do you think that my primary with full shiftout at 215 is too much for a 4 stroke ?
I read alot on cluching but it is still nice to have a second opion on stuff
should I set my secondary stronger.

PolarisPower,
The white spring will give a higher enguagement thus giving you a stronger take off. The white spring is a good one to start with. Most people like that spring. The enguagement is not that high but high enough to put the front wheels up. You should be satisfied with the spring.
Alpine2,
Im not to familliar with 4 strokes and how the power band works. I have rode 2 strokes for 15 yrs.
What are the spring settings on the secondary. You might want to set it lighter so you dont get as much drag on the down shift. You might also want to try 54-53grm weights to get the rpm,s up quicker. Sounds like the combination of the spring setting and weights is your problem. As for the shiftout what rpm,s are you running at full shiftout?

My secondary is set 2-2 almost the stiffest setting , I have tried 47 gram weights and it curred the problem but found that the belt would tend to slipp to much underload when in 4x4 (when Stuck) but is 2 wheel drive no prob as for my RPM at full shiftout I have no tach I know I should have one to tune properly. I was thinking of going back to the stock setup and going from there but the primary stock spring is in full shiftout at 111 I have another primary too a HPD green engage 55 shiftout at 140 and I also have 46 gram wieghts too
I am going to have to take a whole day and do some timed runns to get it right

46 gram weights are way to light. You need to be in the range of 52-54 gram to keep it from slipping. Try the 1-2 setting with the weights you have now and see if that works. This will give you a much quicker upshift but a slower backshift. This will take pressure off of the backshift so you wont get the lagg.
