Default Clutch??

Hey I was looking for performance upgrades for my 99 trail blazer and I saw the hotseatperformance.com clutch kit and I was wondering what exactly the clutch does on a trail blazer since there is no shifting?? Just wondering...

HPD would be better. What the kit does is change the springs and weights. This will give you a stronger take off and quicker upshift. If you really want a performance upgrade go with a pipe and clutch kit. This really wakes up the 250,s. My TB is highly moded and can beat a 400. But that is with tons of mods. The pipe and clutch kit will make it alot funner to ride. Here are some more sights to look at.

Thanks a ton. About the ritter kit... You mean that stage 1 kit? Anyone had any experience with this? Before I was thinking of the following....

HPD Clutch kit
aaen Pipe
and chain tensioner from HPD

Which will give me more low and mid range power? The ritter kit or that? Yeah I know the chain tensioner won't matter.

You dont want to mix and match performance parts. The clutch kits are made to go with the powerband of the pipes. The stage 1 kit is the best bang for the buck. 325 plus free shipping. You cant beat that. I have rode bikes with the RCR kits and they run real well. This will give you tons more bottom and mid range. Makes wheelies real easy. If you dont want to pay the extra money for the HPD parts then RCR would be the next best thing. The fit and finish on HPD pipes are better because everything is computer welded. RCR makes his own stuff. He is real good at it and the finish has gotten alot better. I dont hear any complaints about his product anymore. Plus Rick Ritter is great to talk to and he helps you out with any problems that you may have. He also carries HPD.

Alright thanks for all the info. I think once I pay my parents back for part of my trail blazer I will go with the ritter kit. Also, I was thinking about getting into woods racing next year and with this stuff how do you think it would do? Yeah I am very new to this stuff....

It depends on how good of a rider you are. The RCR low and mid pipe will do great. You wont be dissapionted. I used to ride a Banshee for 8yrs and it sucked riding in the woods. I outgrew it and bought a Trailblazer knowing I can get performance parts for it. I am very happy with the mods that I have done and I can keep up with anything in the woods.
