Default driven clutch help!!

I had to take my driven clutch to the dealer to have the new spring, helix, and buttons installed because I just couldnt get it apart. I picked it up today and went to put it back on. It wont go all the way back on the shaft. I egages the splines but wont go any farther. It is sticking out about a 1 1/2 inches. Why wont it go back any futher. Is this normal. Thanks

Put it back on until it stops, pull it back off just a little, ratate it some then try again until it slides all the way back. You may have to do this a couple of times.Be sure to clean your splines very well with a wire brush.Hope this helps.

Default driven clutch help!!

So is it normal for it to do that or do I have a problem with the clutch or shaft?

Yes it's pretty normal, once your splines line up it will go all the way back.Make sure you put the thick washer back on the shaft before you put the clutch back on.

Thick washer??? There are about 3 spacers that go behind the clutch. I never removed those. Then there is the big washer that is on the bolt. I dont know of any thick washer? My clutch kit came with a washer but I think that the dealer used it in the clutch.
