Piped,Jetted, and K&N
#1
I have been playing with the pipe and jet setup on my predator.Tonight I took the snorkel off and put all 8 disc on my pipe. The stock jet is a 150. I went to a 160. A couple of cars passed my driveway and I took off after them. I caught them in 4th gear and let off.I know your saying big deal but one of those cars was my brother, he said he was going 65. I had my lights turned off until I got close. He could not belive it. I'm running stock front sprocket and a 38tooth rear, K&N filter, 160 main,WB pipe with all disc in and no spark arrestor.needle is in stock position. It runs like a stripped a@* ape. I think I found the best set up.If anyone has found out different please let me know. I would like to try. It also pulled as hard in 4th and 5th as it did in 2nd.

Call Gary at the Superbike shop and get the Airforce kit. You will really feel some power then. 8 lbs of tq and 6 more hp at 3500 rpm than you have right now with your setup. also gets to rev limiter a full 2 seconds quicker.

The only problem I see with Gary's AF kit is WAter. We ride alot of creeks and water ways and just cant have those big open holes in the box. I wish someone would come up with a kit to use with just the K&n and a slip on pipe that would solve the jetting popping issues.

I am sure there will be some after market air box design's before long. I don't think water is going to be a big problem unless you submerge the bike under water, but this kit does alot more than silve the popping issue.

I'm just trying to help other polaris riders make their atv faster. If you wasn't such a child you would realize that. Try staying out of the sun for a while it might help

Hey guys,
How hard do you think it would be to make a plate shaped the same as the air force plate, only solid to block water when you riding in wet conditions?????
i think im gonna try it, it would only take a few minutes to bolt it over the a/f kit plate. - i realize you would loose some performance by doing this, but.. you certainly would'nt have to worry about water..

I just installed the airforce kit acouple of days ago, except for the hole on top. I wanted to see how it works with just the triangular piece in.
Anyway, It is hard for you to get into the carb unless your submerged over the air box for an extended period of time. If you look at the design, when water gets into the air box, it has to be sucked upward through the filter to get into the carb. Therefore, splashing hasn't got a chance in hell of getting into the motor unless the air box completely fills up.
I'm not sure how it will be when I cut the hole in the top. I think I'm going to cut up my old foam pre-filter so that I have a little bit more protection on the top.
One more note, my cousins raptor has the top of the airbox off with his pipe and mods. He has never has a problem with water getting in. So I guess having the top hole shouldn't be too bad.
All you have to do to seal up the holes is to cut up some plastic to match the holes

Let me get this right.
I criticized you for racing down the road, Illegally, @ night, without lights, registration or insurance & probably without a helmet, & then bragging about it here.
And then the best defence that you can come up with is that I'm jealous & should grow up.
Gee your clever.
Geoff.
