500HO or 600???
Just bought a new 600 yesterday (Sonic Blue with Chrome wheels) and after the first brief ride it seems to be excellent. I had a 2003 Magnum 330 4X4 before and the 600 had a lot, lot, more power , but it should it's got almost twice as big an engine. I have a friend who has a new 700 and I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference in power. I went in to buy a 500 but they had the 600 on sale at about the same price as the 500 so after looking at them both I went with the 600. The dealer made a big deal out of the deal with the front hubs being much better on the 600 due to the redesign of the hubs or something. It is supposed to be a better design but that might have been a sales pitch you know how that goes. I never rode the 500 so I can't tell you about the power differences.

500HO or 600???
I bought a 04 sp 500h.o. 3 weeks ago and I love it. I just like the thought of haveing a backup recoil. As for power and speed, my nieghbor has a Grizzely 660 and in a flat out drag its dead even up to about 45 mph then he starts to pull away. But remember my machine is not broken it yet.

500HO or 600???
This question is for those of you that have the 600.....Do you experience the knocking noise from the EBS more than on the 500 HO? My dad just purchased a 600 and he also has a 2001 500HO and the EBS on the 600 seems to make a lot more noise than the 500. Is this normal? I was under the impression that the EBS was the same between the two bikes. It seems louder when riding on trails in high gear, and when I put the bike in low I don't notice it as much, but it is still happening. Am I worrying for no reason? Please Help!

I asked my dealer the same question and they said it's normal. I'm still getting used to the EBS system as my 400 didn't have it. Actually, I could do without it, I don't ride up and down too many mountains in wisconsin, it forces you to maintain better throttle control when your trail riding.
