700 belt vs. Kevlar Belt...the showdown
Which is better for performance, less slippage, less burning out the clutch. Anyone that has either of these tell me what u like about it and what you dont like. I have a 500 so there wont really be a need for something to withstand 85+ horse power.

The Kevlar belt can handle ALOT of horsepower, but will groove the clutches quickly. I would try the 700 belt because it would probably be sufficient. If it isn't check around at other aftermarket belts and find a strong one that isn't kevlar or aramid re-inforced.

I think if you do alot of slow technical riding or alot of drag racing that you will notice grooves in the bottom of the sheaves on the primary from using the Kevlar belt. The belt is awesome, don't get me wrong, you will probably have to replace the clutches before the belt, but you are giving up some clutch life also. Just my opinion.

Easy fella's,by the way HPD has a Powermaxx kit for the 400 2 stroke that makes right at 85 horses.I myself run a much tamer version with only 70 to 75 horses at the crank.I believe the kevlar belt was designed mostly for the race modded bikes, but work fine on any other.Later.

yeah i know that...I have a 500 tho. Mania is my neighbor...so we fight like bros... He just never wins Thus the basis for my quad becuz aside from dropping a street bike engine into my frame the PVT will never see anything remotely resembling 85 horses, much less 55 horses.
