400 xplorer compression

Default 400 xplorer compression

can anyone tell me what compression i should have on my 2000 400 xplorer,i have 3100 miles on it and
it shows 105 pounds on my tester is this sufficient. i have also ordered a aaen top end pipe for it and clutch kit i would like to get some feedback on this set up .Any info. would be much appreciated

Default 400 xplorer compression

Nope, not enough compression. 115 is the min. That is a good set-up for the 400, you will notice a big difference after you rebuild the top-end. Don't go with the Polaris piston, get a Wiseco and use Cometic gaskets except for the base gasket, you will want the Polaris for that one. The top end is cheap and easy to re-build by yourself.
