The orings go behind the torque transfer buttons in the primary, should be 6 of them. Along with 6 buttons. If I am not mistaken this is what it sounds like to me, all this stuff should go behind the spider.

No you pretty much have to have the tool or know someone who does that will let you borrow it. The spider is supposed to be at 200 ft.lbs. so it would be hard to get it off without it. Make sure you mark everything good so you get everything kined back up, the spider must be within 1 inch of the original position to keep your balance of the clutch. Your Polaris mechanic should do this for near nothing I would think, just ask them to take the spider off, replace the parts and ask them to put it back together, I know my mechanic does it for free.

I bought my own tools for this as I break apart my clutches twice a season for cleaning, and adjust the clutch shims for belt wear..Yor might as well take apart the secondary clutch, as it is dirty from being enclosed. Used compressed air to blow out the crud...never use a cleaner or lube on the clutch as this will only attract dust and dirt.....Air ONLY
The O-rings are part of the kit as some newer clutch buttons have them on the I.D. of the clutch buttons. Make sure when you put the thin shims in behind the buttons to make sure your spider slides freely up and down the full length of the tower, as you don't want power robbing friction.
Tools you will need is: Torque wrench / spider removal tool / Polaris clutch puller / and holding plate for the bottom of the clutch assembly, as this will hold the clutch from turning while you torque down the spider assembly and to remove it also.
