Default SP 500 AWD Reverse Problem

Hello... I am having problems when I am in AWD then want to go into reverse. From what I understand the front two hubs are supposed to disengage. But, when I start backing up one stays engaged always and the handle bars pull hard to one side. The manual says this will happen occasionally. This happens to me every single time. Has anyone had the same experience? I just picked up the quad last weekend. The only the other problem going on is once the quad warms up (after 20 minutes or so) I get a low pitch screaching noise when giving it throttle from take off. Other than that I am enjoying the SP 500. My uncle is a firm believer in Polaris, he's got Snowmobiles, Jet Skis, and Quads all by Polaris. He sold me on them. Thanx Guys....

If your machine is that new shouldn't it be under warranty? If so, I would tell the dealer about it and make them fix it. The squel is pretty normal, normally that sound comes from the EBS kicking in. I would check your oil levels to be safe though. Check the tranny level and the front gearcase levels. You could add a slight amount of hub oil to the front hubs to take care of the 4WD sticking problem, but like I said, if it is under warranty, why bother. Make them make it right. Welcome to Atv Connection.

Thanx for the advice as I am getting new to all this. I'll make sure I take it in to the dealer before that 6 month Manufacturer warranty expires. I'll check all my fluids tonight. Thanx again

I agree, as long as it is still under that lond 6 month warranty get it in there, I procrastinated and mine is now out of warranty, should have taken it is for an irritating rattle with the racks.
