G'day guys.
I'm about to get a new set of tyres and rims. ( c series rims & holeshots )
Which are better for m/x racing 8" or 10" rims?
And any other thoughts would be appreciated.
I've allready worn out the original ones.
I got a set of Kenda Dominator yesterday to try out.
Thanks from down under, Geoff.

If you're gonna mx, go with the 8" rims. Get that machine low and lower the center of gravity. It will help you sweep corners faster with less worries of getting tippy. If you are gonna get tires to, get an 18" tire. If you have regeared already, it may limit your top-end, but I would go to the 18" tire and 8 " rim, and maybe back to stock gearing, or play with the gears a little. Either way, the lower to the ground you can get the machine to set, the more you lower the center of gravity and you will sweep through the turns much quicker.

No I don't have them. I was just speaking about mx quads in general, they all run small tires and rims. But you bring up a good point, you aren't gonna find 8" rims for the pred's hubs. Give Daryll rath a call, here's his website, rathracing.com. He has some hubs that will help you out and widen you a little more closer to the 50" so you can mount up the smaller tires. He can help you with the number specifics. Good luck Geoff!

I'm running 8" rims with 18" Holeshot MXR's and Rath Billet MX Hubs. The hubs were $160, very good quality, fit perfect. Right now I have a 38t rear sprocket on mine and found it to work very well on more techinical tracks, bigger tracks you might want to stay with the 37t rear.
8" rims are the only way to go if your going to be racing, plus 8" rims are cheaper than 10" ones.
If you get Holeshot tires make sure you get the MXR's, they are the best mx tire out there.
