Not much info to work with, but perhaps a primary spring with a stronger initial tension might help?
Or perhaps it has a pipe that has less low-end torque than stock, yet still has the stock clutch settings?
Like Bubba suggested, let us know year, model, and any mods from stock.

If it has the original belt on it I would get a replacement and take the clutch cover off, clean the clutches by blowing them out first with an air hose, then wipe them clean with alcohol (not the good stuff LOL) or brake cleaner works good. Try that first. It should put it back to correct deflection specs. If it has been brake torque a bit or slipped a little the belt could be charred just a little and it will make them take off slow like you are stating. A belt will fix problems 75% of the time first.
