I have heard good and bad things about all the manufacturers, but fact is, I like my Ski-Doo. It hasnt
given me any problems, its FAST, and doesnt do too bad at the gas pumps for what it is.
To each his own I guess.

I bought it brand new in February 2000, it was a leftover. Got it REAL cheap!!
But, I think I am going to sell it now. Gotten into wheeling a little more now.

My snowmobile is living proof about how good Arctic Cat's are. I have a 1980 (manufactured in Feb. 1979) Lynx 2000T. The only work that has ever been done to it is I rebuild the engine in January, and put brakes on it. It runs like brand new and starts by the 2nd pull almost every time. Not bad for a 25 year old sled.

from what the fellas over at snowmobileforum.com say here is how they ranked them arctic cat and polaris are pretty much neck and neck as far as looks, performance, and reliability, with the AC firecats giving them a slight advantage. Skidoo is a very close second behind those too. and yamaha far behind, not because of reliability issues because they will run forever, but a lot of the guys say that they are way behiind in suspension technology, so the have a real rough ride.
the sleds of today are way more reliable then they use to be, but as far as power, one of those babies form the 70's would kick the modern day equivalents butt.

How can you say that when such advances such as the r.a.v.e. valve came out in the early 90's, and put sleds miles ahead.
