You may have heard this before, but it's hard to get accurate HP numbers out of a V on a Dyno. Due to the Auto Trany, there is no way to rev the motor out in any one gear. The transmission just continues to upshift.

That sounds fairly close to what a mild modded V will produce, HP wise on a chassis dyno.

 

Riding in the dunes with the V-force I mentioned earlier, the kid on it at about 100 pounds in front of me when I was on our Raptor, heck when we got to a slow spot then he opened it up he put a few lengths on me like right now, on the level where the weight isn't the factor it is on the hills, that thing takes right off, then I could catch him after a few gears.
