no crap. if you go back and read my first post on this thread (Tue January 10, 2006 5:47 PM),

was just clarifying for people that were saying the 400's didnt have reverse

 

i would say the raptor. i have an '03 now and love it, never had any problems. it did feel a little tippy for the first ride or two but i was riding a 400ex before. the suspension might not be a ds but alot softer than the rest of the sport bikes.

Seems to me that this is exactly the kind of guy who needs a Yamaha Wolverine. I have a 400EX and love it but I'm not going to recommend it, if there's any farm work involved then he'd be much happier with a Wolverine, at least its kind of like a sport bike but can still tow and haul and it's 4x4.

 

if hes gonna go for a wolverine then he has the scrambler 400 and 500 to look at aswell

 

Well guys I ended up with a 2004 KFX400. I am due to get the bike sometime in the next week or two. It was a deal that was just too good to pass up. More details and photos on that in the near future.

Are there any websites that deal specifically with these bikes? I ended up buying an 04 off of Ebay and look forward to getting it next week some time. I was just looking for specific tech articles etc. If anyone knows of specific issues of magazines that covered the LTZ/KFX in either tests or tech articles I would appreciate the heads up as well.
