I realize this may be a childish topic, but Im a guy and guys like to dream about big boy toys, right? So if you had an unlimited budget, what kind of quad would you build? I'd build a TRX250R Lonestar chassis with a bored and stroked Quadzilla motor (counterbalanced). Houser +1 arms and swinger. Custom Axis shocks with Hipercarbon wheels and black full bore plastics. And of course an IMS XC tank. Oh I can dream! What would you guys build?

Ah, don't feel childish, I think Im your age and I still like to dream about big boy toys.

Ok, back on topic. Since I love to do all sorts of riding I would have to have a few purpose built machines for different types of riding, but I think you are just wanting us to choose one quad so I would need something that would be good all around. Ummmmm.......right now I would say maybe a Z400 with a Yoshi 450 kit, elka's all the way around, maybe just +2 A-arms and axle so it would still be able to fit on the trails, skids, and of course a bunch of little goodies on it with a gusseted and powdercoated frame. I would also need about 3-4 different sets of wheels or tires to go along with the terrain Im on whether it be trails, MX, dunes etc. Yeah, I think that would be a quad I could take all over the country with me.

Not sure what I'd build. But I'd play it safe and just order one of everything from all my catalogs.

I will be 46 in feb. And I have a Kawasaki 500cc 2 stroke triple engine that I always thought could put up a good fight with a banshee or two. Just for the dunes though, wouldnt want to hang on to that in the woods.

my dream quad?

well.. since im partial to 4strokes, i would have to say a predator chassis with a few modifications, like sertain parts barrowed from TRX450R like A-arms ball joints and brakes, ect. and i would have to stick the Bomb 650 Rotax engine in it. of course i'd send it to some special super mechanic to have him slap a reverse gear into it.

that, would be very sweet.
