Air cooled does eliminate alot of potential problems. Coolant,waterpumps,rad, rad fan and water hoses.
Oil coolers and its fan are just a oil cooling "assist" device, even without them a air cooled motor will still run all day.

If just the fan quits on a liquid cooled on the other hand,the motor will over heat and boil over in less then a 1/4 mile.
