Default 500 outlaw top speed

How much louder is it? I live in a small town, (nobody seems to have anything better to do than bi*** about any little thing they see), and I ride mine right out of town. I need a lot more low end power for the trails I usually ride, (lots of rutted mud holes, and tight squeezes, followed by an uphill climb).

LOL, calling one names while being wrong yourself... Priceless.

The '07 Predator 500 did away with the Pro Steering and a few other changes resulting in a 10 lb weight loss for a dry weight of 405 lbs.

Our Predator 500 stock ran 73 mph by radar gun on pavement. So a 71 mph top speed for an Outlaw 500 is probably really close. With the extra power of the KTM engine and lighter weight my Outlaw 525 did 76 mph when stock.

Trail Techs are only as accurate as you calibrate them. I agree with the others. No stock quad is going to break into the 80's. I have radared many, many "my quad will go 80 + mph" quads and not one of them was even close.

I've never ran my 07 as far as top speed goes, but my buddys 05 did 81 according to the speedo in my truck. He had to hold on it for a while, but I was about 2 1/2 to 3 truck lengths behind him, holding a steady gap at just over 80. That is why I stated that my 07 will go that fast, assuming that if his will, mine should too.

The Predator and Outlaw used different 500 motors. The Outlaw has the 52hp KTM Motocross motor and the Pred has the DOHC 42hp . 2005 Polaris Predator 500 ATVs
The 500 scrambler has the SOHC 35hp motor that is also used in the 500 Sportsman.

I have a 500 outlaw with big gun rev box with a full hmf pipe with a few miner carb adjustments and it will do 87 mph not cutting out and it will go by a 700 raptor easy
