both of them seem to b good bikes , i think the rappy i rode was qn 04 or 05 , it was built and pretty wicked , does the newer ones have a lower center of grav , the yfzs ive rode have all bn 05 , and i loved them - my brother just got an 04 z 400 i dont know what has bn done to itbut its pretty mean to , i dont no what i want (just somethin that will excite me more than a 400ex)

 

well a z will excite you more than a 400ex.
and i would recommend any 450 over the rappy.

i dont race anymore , so prob dont need a 450 , ive bn thinkin bout hittin a local fair or two but nothing serious , i mostly ride trails now ,id like to try a new raptor on the trails we ride

Well IMO the 700 fits that nitch better than any! It has also been the best quad I have ever owned!

 

mayb ill get lucky and b able to try one , most of my buddies ride 4x4 and i dont no anybody round here that has one , just me and my brother have sport bikes

 

ive owned and road quite a few quads in my day ad i think the raptor 700 is the best all around sport quad out there. can be made to do so meny things very well. from trail riding to drag racing a and even a little mx. and on these 525 ktms. i am not impressed at all with them. yes stock vs stock it will win by a little but who really races a stock bike and if i put 1k in mods (duals, intake and efi unit) i will leave that ktm so far in the dust its not even funny. and yes the ktm will still be wider but i can buy a top of the line axle for less than 400 that will make me wider than the ktm and a-arms for like 400-500 that will make me just as wide. there are so meny huge builders that are focusing on raptor 700s. very few give a shiat about the 525 ktm. and yes the honda is the way to go if u baja race but that is only bcause honda is the only one who will give real race support down there.

i have a stockbore and stroke raptor that makes close 2 80hp and i dune it all day long and have been for over a year with this current build. i dont know very meny other bikes that can do that.
