Duster, can I ask what you mean by strange delivering Polaris?Once you get through the boggy low end it has a nice midrange hit.

Oh, I didn't mean to make you misunderstand me.
I wrote a lot, so let's condense it down...

Well, I just bought a new KFX450R this month... and here is what I think...

The power is GREAT for a stock 4 stroke. The EFI makes the throttle response perfect and instant, with no quirks on delivery. It also does not have the "hit" like some of the other 450's do. The power delivery is very balanced, very linear, and very "right there" all the time. Being a timeless 2 stroke fan like I am, and having spent several months on this strange delivering polaris... I have came to appreciate instant throttle response, instant hit and a linear power band... because my polaris is always in the pipe with it's CVT. So I have learned not to miss feeling the hit of the power band coming in, in favor of instant power delivery. So I am very happy on the KFX450R in that respect.</end quote></div>

I still love my Sport....

What is "strange" to me about the power delivery is that you feel no explosive powerband hit. But you have to take into consideration that I am from the old school days of pipey manual trans 2 strokes. So the delivery is strange to me. The Polaris eases into the pipe and then just stays there in the power band. I like that better, and it's much more effective when it comes to reponse... I just find it strange still, but I have certainly came to appreciate it as well.

My new KFX450R has the same great delivery, but in a 4 stroke 5 speed package, with it's fuel injected high revving engine.

On a side note, are you over at Gen 3 USA too?
