I know, it sucks you can d o the "cheap" stuff, then comes high dollars.......funny, we do 1/2 our mods in july and the other 1/2 in january. Too hot and cold, you just have too hot!
Remember that ignition for the z is alot nicer than the ex one, so don't worry to much.

Keep it up, maybe will have to meet in Coral Pink some time when you got it all done!

Hey I have 2 cheap mods for you.
1. Remove the plastic key holder and relocate the lights to the front of the plasitc, flat spot right in front of bars, relocate key to r/h (sitting on it) under the bars. Looks good. Get a protaper pad and it looks killer.
2. Take your carb apart and take the black cap off the top, take out the spring and cut two complete rings off the bottom of the spring, reinstall and you will have a little free throttel response.

As far as the carb goes if I messed with it the guys at sandtech racing would kill me and I dont want to burn that
bridge.

I am dieing to go to Coral Pink I heard that its much cooler there in the summer compared to here which hit 104
yesterday. Trying to plan a trip for a weekend after the toy hauler arrives which should be soon I hope . We cant
really tent camp with the baby.

I wondered about cutting the spring shorter. I did it on my FZ1 (part of the jet kit on it) so that was one of my first thoughts. But, I didn't think it would help much, maybe hurt. now that I know someone has done it, I have something to do on my Z now...hehe..

 

Well I really want to the see the Dyno. Where did the raptor guys go? I haven't seen a post from them in a bit, I still have more popcorn, I need more to read. lol
