Just go to dgperf.com, spend $125 and buy an alum RCM w/ spark arrester in their inventory close out. the only thing u gain with the xcellorator is loudness, and maybe a little top end. the RCm will give u around 10% hp increase, and better midrange than the xcell. Remember to rejet!!

i dont know how acurate the tests are, but when there is a pipe "shootout," the DG stuff seems to NOT do as good as the rest. I could be mistaken, but its what I seem to remember at this point in time.

The RCM is quieter than the Xcellorator unless you find a quiet core of some type for the X. The number of plates you get with the RCM is 14. You can use down to 2 plates. Just make sure to put a spacer on so that you dont crank the steel locknut and break the stud off. The rcm has close to the same output level as a White E-Series. It is not an overly loud pipe, because with 4 plates on, it sould just a little louder than stock on my LT. With all plates on, it is around 10-15 time quieter than a cobra jet (3db=2x the sound). Pretty much all the X is is an RCM with the end cut off, and a roll of aluminum around it. For the price that DG is selling this RCM pipe for, you'll get your money, plus almost a half again out of it. It is a great pipe, and adds the much needed torque the LT craves.
