The Ozark does not come with a tow hitch. I just thought you should know. You could put the deer on the rear rack. I use to do that with the Kawasaki 220 Bayou I use to have years ago. Just watch on steep hills it will lift the front end. Otherwise I had no problem getting my deer out of the woods. I think the tow rating on the Bayou was around 400 lbs. You wiil have trouble getting a bear out of the woods without a cart. The Ozark is a great quad. Handles excelent. I got my daughter one. Might get myself one in the future. It is a really fun ATV to ride. My wife has the Recon, its a very good quad too. The Ozark does everything just a little better though. I'm not exactly sure what the top speed is on an Ozark. I heard it will top out around 50. I know my daughter has no problem keeping up with me on my Wolverine, out on the trails. The Ozark will beat our Recon in a drag race every time. I heard it will beat the 250ex too, though I've never seen that. They probably make an after market tow hitch for it somewhere. Hope you get the Ozark, GREAT quad!

Here where I hunt in Pennsylvania and West Virginia our deer are small. Probably 100lbs. If you hunt Muleys you may have a problem puting them on the rack. Elk, I imagine you will quarter up. If you pull a cart you should be alright. I wouldn't try to drag a bear or elk out dead weight with no cart.

They make carts made especially for being towed by ATVs. They have wide ballon tires and a cargo area made of plastic for weight savings. They sell them in Cabellas or Bass Pro catalogs.I think they are around $300. I'm not sure on that price.
If you quarter an elk, you will need to make several trips to haul it out. You would do better with a bigger 4WD ATV. It would haul more and tow more. A 2WD will go pretty good in snow up till about 5 inches. But I wouldn't go up any hills. Last year I couldn't make it up a hill( with a deer on the rack) in 6 inches of snow. That was with the Wolverine with 4WD.
The Ozark is a great quad. Don't get me wrong. If you mainly want a pack horse you would find yourself wanting a bigger, 4WD quad. If you want a great trail quad to haul out elk quarters or tow out a bear in a cart you will be OK with an Ozark. ( as long as the ground is fairly level) Hope this helps!
