yea mbrooks do you want me to send you a pic or a video to show you what i mean? it smokes and is extreamly hard to start.
oh and the cluctch slips, is this because i am running regular 10/30 mobil i did not have 10/40 at the time?

I probably don't need a video, just some more answers. I used to run mobil regular oil in my old 230 and the clutch never slipped. I'd try adjusting the clutch before changing the oil. Does the motor tick/knock? Is the smoke gray or blue? Does it smoke less after it's warm? If you try and pull start the motor without using the decompression lever does it occasionally pull the starter right out of your hand? If the motor still runs than nothing catastrophic happened inside the cylinder. This means that you could prob. get away with the stock piston, replacing the rings, and getting a hone job. If you are tearing into it I'd consider just going ahead and doing a ring and valve job. If you do all the labor you can it shouldn't be more than $125. If you get into a bind I could probably help you out.
