The Z's market niche isn't the same as the 450's. If anything, the Z has a better spot (in terms of sales volume), than the 450's do. Suzuki will still sell tons of them, and Honda will still sell tons of 400EX's.!

I don't know about the rest of the country, but out here a dealership CAN SELL ANYTHING (SPORT BIKE THAT IS) THAT THEY PUT OUT ON THE FLOOR!! People are still buying Warriors!

From what I just found out this past week is the honda 450r is out, The YFZ just walks away from it. I just dont like the handling of the YFZ if your trailing and not going at least 40mph. It is such a bbbbbbuuuuummmmppppyyyy ride. JMO.

Why would anybody possibly want to go less than 40 mph?

I always thought 40mph was just one of those annoying speeds between 0 and 70mph. You mean people actually ride at 40mph for more than a second?!?!

Guido, I am a Die Hard Suzuki guy like you used to be and I am assuming that The YFZ is everything its cracked up to be. I need some answers , have you done anything to it yet? Pipe, air box, etc, Cam, ? If so how is it? i have alot of friends that ride them but I want an opinion from a guy who was a Qracer rider like me.

If Suzuki release a 'racer 450, I'll be the first one to buy it.

Ditto!

trx have you completely lost you mind. i have a yfz since july and have had NO problems with it except one that is finding a quad that can out run it. woods track and drag. not knocking the z400 it is a real good quad but the power just dont compair. and again NO problems from my yfz.

I forgot to mention I laughed out loud when you said it was stupid that it took super unleaded only. so you want the best quad out there, but you want to run it on 87 octane?? jeeze, don't want to bust the budget on a few gallons of gas here and there. AND you guys live in the states where gas is cheap! Why are you even considering quads designed for high-performance? lol

i have to run my machine on 91 octane at least, and in my opinion that's crappy water-gas! you guys are nutty!

I have a GYTR pipe (very happy with), K&N filter, open box, 45 pilot, YZF needle, and 175 main jet.

Racing quads like Z400's isn't even a race. The YFZ walks away from so many quads I was happiest when dead even or even losing. Anything to avoid getting up the hill and wonder what happened to everyone. That gets boring. At first I thought it was lack of rider experience but after whooping on so many quads, that can't be the reason.

After being left behind on the Z and now ahead about 95% of the time, it's a great feeling. I'm not a die hard hillshooter but I like to run the hill and not be last.
