I was at a dealer last night contemplating buying a new atv. I've been researching all the makes and I narrowed it down to two or three for what I wanted. The Suzuki 500 Vinson, 450 Kodiak and the 500 Honda Rubicon. The Honda seemed way overpriced and the Kodiak didn't even seem to compare in size or quality etc.

For the money and quality of atv, I thought the Suzuki was the best buy, but have never owned one. I previously owned a Prairie 400, but it was a 2X4.

What can anyone tell me about the Vinson and how it performs or should I consider one of the others all-together?....good points and bad points ALL welcome!!

The bottom line is that the Vinson is a great atv. My step-father has one and I've tried it out a few times. It has great power and a 60-65mph top end. The seating position is very comfortable (at least for my body size). The digital display is very easy to read and operate. I would recommend a test drive to make sure you like the way it feels and make your decision from that.

 

I purchased a Vinson auto last summer. My choice came down to the Vinson or Rubicon. I chose the Vinson based on the price. I do not regret my decision at all. It is a reliable machine that is easy to start.
