vinson auto belt always spin when ideling in park?

Default vinson auto belt always spin even in park?

my question is if im parked and let engine idle is that bad for belt or does belt contiuesly spin? does the belt rest idle causing wear if idling for any lengh of time.

If your idle speed is set correctly, the belt doesn't spin during idle. The service manual says the belt isn't supposed to engage until 1800-2400 RPM. Idle should be set at 1300 +- 100 RPM.

yup, both helix's do not spin untill the idle is raised enough to see a noticeable difference in engine tone.

Default vinson auto belt always spin when ideling in park?

ok so pulleys are not spinning either then,thats what i was wondering. didnt want pulley turning and grooving belt, i was picturing a torque converter setup where engine pulley turned but only grabbed belt with higher rpm's
