Default mud flaps for eiger

I'm thinking about putting mud flaps on my 03 eiger. Has anyone instaled any yet? I am wondering if they cause any problems like cracking the finders, or any other problems.
Cabelas has them. Does anyone know where else to get them, maybe fitted ones?
Thanks in advance.

I've ridden thru some serious mud and never thought that I needed them. You may get some mud on your racks but you always stay clean and dry.

I've had my clothes covered up to my chest with mud, but doesn't bother me. That's what I'm out there for, MUD'N!

whitewall tires, where can i get them?
I thought mudflaps might help because I get a lot of mud on my gear bags and my gun, I pack my gun on fingrip pro gun racks for quick access. never know when you may need it in a hurry here in s/e ky applachian mountains.
you don't get mud on your back, are you sure you'er in mud, maybe you just go through it to slow?

thanks.

When you are in mud/water up to the lights . . . fighting to get through the hole . . . rocking the machine trying to get traction . . . you'd be surprised where you get mud! After just about every ride, I have to drop the skidz and take off the racks and plastics in order to get all the mud out.

Damn, I need to go riding this weekend!

boyfox, you bring up a good point. Most of the time when I ride I don't have anything on my racks except maybe a tow strap or a cooler. I haven't seen any mud flaps tho.

Muddyeiger, When yuour ripping down the trail and the mud is flying off yer front tires and yer ridin thru a wall of mu and the back tires are throwing mud straight up....................Fun!!! and yes mud does go everywhere.
I build a wash rack outside my barn so I can get up under it. I took the cheese grater off the front and replaced it with an aluminum skid plate. This has cut way down on the mud piling up in the front. Youcan click on the lil camera on the left and see the skid plate I made.

We got out Weds night and it was very sloppy. Places in the bottoms that are usually dry and dusty (boring) were like big mud bogs. The crossings were full of mud and ice and covered in snow. The snow is melting and the creek is up, spring can't be far away.
